Minute book, 1831-1841.

The minute book documents the organization of the company, the surveying and construction of the railroad, the importation of rails and other materials from England and the process of securing financial aid from the state government. It includes reports of committees, reports on the condition of the road and the Girard coal mines and data on the operating costs of early locomotives.
